I am very proud as Headteacher of Newker Primary School to welcome you to our website and I hope you find it useful to find out all about our school.
We are an inclusive and very friendly school, with lots of exciting opportunities and events going on. The most wonderful thing about our school is our amazing pupils. We are helping them to become aspirational, respectful, resilient, inquisitive learners who are healthy and happy while they are here at Newker. Our motto is: ‘Learning together, working to achieve!’
At Newker, we aim to engage our children in learning in an exciting and interactive way to ensure they all make good progress and attain highly.
We are currently reviewing our Curriculum, ensuring that we are providing pupils with a broad and balanced curriculum. Pupils in both our Year 4 classes are just starting to learn to play a brass instrument, while Year 2 pupils have just started learning to play the Ukulele. PE is one of our popular curriculum areas and our children enjoy participating in many sporting competitions and tournaments. We also have a Forest School that we are developing with pupils, as we have some lovely large outdoor spaces including a large school field and MUGA. Visits to the schools are warmly welcomed.
