Staffing update Mrs Curtis, our Deputy Headteacher, will be leaving us in January to become a Headteacher at a school in Washington. We would like to say thank you for all of her dedication, hard work and support for the school over the past 7 years that she has worked at Newker. The Governors have started the recruitment process to appoint a new Deputy Headteacher and we will keep you fully updated. Mrs McGurk, our Nursery teacher will also be leaving us in January to start another job in Sunderland. She has worked at Newker for 10 years and we would like to wish her good luck and thank her for all of her hard work, dedication and support for the school. We are in the process of appointing a Nursery teacher and will inform you all of the outcome. |

Please can you make sure that children are also wearing sensible small size (no large size) bows or hairbands (no animal ears/unicorn horns) and that no make-up or nail polish is worn for school. PE kits- to be brought in a bag and left on pegs. Children will change into PE kits for lessons. T-shirts in their house colours: South- red, North- blue, East- yellow, West- green.
