18 March 2020 (by admin)
Hello children! While the school is currently closed and you are learning from home, please check out the Parents and Children tabs where there are lots of Home Learning resources, projects and you tube video learning links for you to use. There are also lots of online learning links that our teachers have provided below. Remember to try and do some English and Maths every day.
We are thinking of you all. Take care and stay safe from all your Newker Teachers and staff.
We would like the children to continue to read regularly at home. There is an expectation that this would be at least three times a week but ideally this could be daily. Please ensure that the children’s reading journals are completed as a record. Whilst the school is closed, the children who use Accelerated Reader will be able to access this from home and complete quizzes online. Please access Accelerated Reader using the website below:
If you have access to the internet, please visit the website above to inspire some creative writing. A different picture is posted each day. You could use one of the pictures to inspire you to write a story, play or poem. There are also suggested activities under every picture that you could aim to complete. Please aim to complete at least one per week.
