Pastoral, Medical & Social Support
At Newker Primary School, we consult with a range of agencies and partnerships to facilitate arrangements for supporting our children with their pastoral, medical and social needs. Class Teachers has overall responsibility for the pastoral, medical and social care of every child in their class, and as a result, this would be the parents’ first point of contact should they have any concerns relating to their child's needs.
If further support or advice is required, all Class Teachers liaise with Miss. A. Ryan (our school's Pastoral Manager) or the school's SENCO. This support may involve working alongside outside agencies such as Health and Social Services, and/or the Behaviour Support Team. Additionally, School accesses the services of a specialist councilor and children can be referred to the services for a range of needs.
